Stay home except for essential needs

  • Everyone is required to stay home except to get food, care for a relative or friend, get necessary health care, or go to an essential job
  • If you go out, keep at least 6 feet of distance among other people
  • Always practice healthy hygiene habits, such as washing your hand with soap and water frequently and not touching your face
Here are things you can do
  • Shop for food, medical or household supplies
  • Pick up meals at schools or restaurants
  • Go to the bank or post office
  • Access government services
  • Provide childcare
  • Visit the vet
  • Work from home, if feasible, for services designated as "nonessential"
  • Participate in outdoor recreational activities (e.g. golf, boating, hiking)
Here are things you can't do

  • Hoard or stockpile goods (only take what you need)
  • Travel for leisure
  • Attend school classes in person
  • Go to health clubs or gyms
  • Dine in at restaurants
  • Attend gatherings
  • Go to bars, breweries or wineries
  • Engage in group activities and team sports

Here are some things you can do:

  • Deliver meals through Meals on Wheels
  • Donate to Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano
  • Volunteer at Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano
  • Support nonprofits
  • Conduct wellness checks and check on older neighbors, friends and family members by calling or texting
  • Create hygiene kits for unhoused community members
  • Donate blood

Donations for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Accepted!
Solano County Office of Emergency Services and Emergency Medical Services are accepting donations of personal protective equipment (PPE)!
Please make sure items are unopened and/or sealed:

  • Goggles/ face shields
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • N95 masks and surgical masks
  • Medical gowns
  • Gloves

Donations are accepted Monday-Friday from 10:00am - 2:00pm at:

  • Emergency Medical Services, 355 Tuolumne St, Vallejo, CA (drop-off with security)
  • Solano County OES, 530 Clay St, Fairfield, CA (drop-off with OES staff)
