Solano County Animal Care Division is responsible for the care of all stray, injured, abandoned, and unwanted animals for the seven surrounding cities: Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, and Vallejo. We are devoted and dedicated to the service of our residents and welfare of all animals residing in Solano County.

Our Mission Statement: To provide comfort, care, and compassion to animals in need through shelter, education, adoption, spay/neuter, and community outreach.

Stop by the shelter and visit our beautiful cat and dog adoption areas and maybe meet your new best friend. Visit our low cost clinic for vaccinations, microchipping, licensing or to schedule a spay/neuter appointment. Give us a call and speak to one of our wonderful team members for any questions or concerns.

We are working towards a common goal to increase our live release rate, increase animal to owner reunification and decrease euthanasia.
