SUISUN VALLEY ROAD BRIDGE AT SUISUN CREEK

The work consists, in general, of replacing the existing earth filled arch bridge on Suisun Valley Road at Suisun Creek with a single span prestressed cast-in-place concrete box girder bridge approximately 32.3 meters long by 13 meters wide.  Other work includes constructing/removing a temporary detour bridge and temporary bridge approaches, traffic control, placing rock slope protection, drainage improvements, water pollution control, installing metal guard railing, design and construction of sound walls and fences, highway planting, and road striping and signs.

The Engineer's Estimate for this project is approximately $2,600,000.

Contract documents may be obtained upon payment of a $53.00 non-refundable fee per set, postage included. Contractors can choose to include a FedEx account number to expedite receipt by overnight delivery. Bids will be received until Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at the office of the Department of Resource Management, Public Works Engineering, 675 Texas Street, Suite 5500, Fairfield, CA, 94533-6341. Immediately following, the bids will be publicly opened and read. The apparent low bidder, along with any subcontractors listed, will be posted to this website soon thereafter. An Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (UDBE) goal of 15.4% has been set for this contract.
