Public Works is committed to providing a safe, well maintained and efficient roadway system along with responsive surveying, land development and permitting services for the benefit of the public.

Public Works is a part of the Department of Resource Management, under the direction of Bill Emlen, Director. Public Works is divided into:

Solano County Public Works-Engineering & Surveyor Forms and Fee Schedule

As recipients of a CalRecycle Rubberized Asphalt Concrete Incentive Grant, Solano County Public Works completed two major paving projects last summer. The STP Overlay Project 2011 and Paving Project 2011 resulted in the overlay of 11.6 miles of road with rubberized asphalt concrete and the diversion of 45,995 PTE. (PTE = Passenger Tire Equivelent)
