Continuous Quality Improvement, or CQI for short, is a process that is driven by the philosophy that anything can be improved upon. CQI rejects the idea that the "status quo" is good enough, and strives to constantly make things better. Here's how:

When Solano County Public Health identifies a problem or gap in one of its services (this could be anything that impares the everyday processes and procedures that make up Public Health programs), quality improvement staff will find a solution to the problem by using Plan, Do, Check/Study, Act cycles:
