Medical & Dental Benefits
Medical Insurance
The County offers CalPERS Health Insurance plans to all full-time and part-time employees working at least 50%.  CalPERS offers both HMO and PPO plans with out-of-state coverage. Please refer to the applicable Memorandum of Understanding or Personnel and Salary Resolution for information about County contribution to a cafeteria plan.

Dental Insurance
The County offers comprehensive dental plans through two providers for employees and their eligible dependents.

Delta Dental 888-335-8227
This plan includes an annual deductible and co-payments that vary by procedure. Employees are responsible for payment of the percentage amount not covered by Delta Dental. 

The yearly maximum is $1,250 per person with a $1,000 orthodontic allowance for eligible children.

United Healthcare Dental 800-999-3367
This plan has no annual maximum benefit and no deductible. Employees may go to any United Healthcare Dental participating dentist.

Orthodontic benefits are available under this plan.
Vision Insurance

The County of Solano offers two vision insurance plan options through Vision Service Plan.

The standard vision plan is a County paid benefit for full-time employees, and provides an annual eye exam for employees and their eligible dependents with a $10 co-pay and new glasses/contacts every 24 months with a $25 co-pay. Lasic eye surgery is also available at a discounted rate. 

The enhanced vision plan provides an annual eye exam for employees and their eligible dependents with a $10 co-pay and new glasses/contacts every 12 months with a $0 co-pay.  Eligibility for the enhanced vision plan varies by bargaining unit and is subject to an employee contribution each month.
