District 5 seeks applications to fill vacancies on Mental Health and Fair Board citizen advisory committees

SOLANO COUNTY – Solano County Supervisor Skip Thomson is seeking applications from individuals residing in District 5 who are interested in serving in a citizen advisory role to the Board of Supervisors as a representative on various advisory boards and committees.  He currently has an opening on the Solano County Fair and Mental Health Boards.

The Solano County Fair Board provides a year-round safe family oriented environment for educational, agricultural, horticultural, mineral and livestock production, domestic arts and entertainment experiences that celebrate the accomplishments of Solano County's diverse and multi-cultural community.

The Solano County Mental Health Board functions according to the Bronzan-McCorquodale Act – primarily to review and evaluate the communities mental health needs, services, facilities and special problems and serves as an advisory to the Board of Supervisors and the Local Mental Health Director.
