Call for Solano County centenarians

August 15, 2012

If you are 100 years old or older, you are invited to an annual special ceremony held in your honor.

"It's has become a much anticipated tradition each year to see our centenarians and learn about the contributions they’ve made to our communities and how they make life worth living," said Supervisor John Vasquez.

This year marks the sixth year the Board of Supervisors, in conjunction with the Senior Coalition of Solano County, will pay tribute to Solano County centenarians.

The Centenarian Day reception will be held at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

If you know of a centenarian, contact Rochelle Sherlock, Coordinator of the Senior Coalition, at 864-3984 or rochelle_sherlock@comcast.net.  Names are requested even if the centenarian is unable to attend the ceremony.
