May 25, 2011

The new manager selected to run Solano County’s Nut Tree Airport has two other Northern California airport management positions under his wings.

County officials announced today the selection of Dave Daly as the new manager for the Nut Tree Airport.  Daly assumes the post on June 14.

Daly has 11 years of managing small airports. He has been the airport manager for the Lincoln Regional Airport in the City of Lincoln since 2005.  He managed the Yolo County Airport from 2000 to 2005.

"Dave brings over 20 years of public service to Solano County and the Nut Tree Airport, and his professional experience encompasses a strong background in land use and facility planning, airport management and development, economic development, and the delivery of customer services," said Mike Lango, General Services Director.

Daly began his public service career as a senior planner for the City of Merced in 1990 after completing internships in Napa and Petaluma.  In 1999, he became a principal planner for Yolo County.

"I am looking forward to being a part of the Solano County management team and making a positive contribution to Solano County and the Nut Tree Airport," Daly said.
