County ROV: Official election materials are in the mail

January 30, 2020

SOLANO COUNTY – The Solano County Registrar of Voters (ROV) is informing citizens that official election materials have already started being mailed out to registered voters for the upcoming March 3, 2020 Primary Election.  Citizens should expect to receive their official election materials in the mail between now and February 3, 2020.

"Vote by Mail Packets and Official Voter Materials were mailed early for this election cycle," says John Gardner, Assistant Registrar of Voters.  "Due to the high interest in the Presidential Primary Election, we want to be sure that voters receive the correct ballot and receive their voting materials to be informed of the choices they have for a Primary Election."

Voters who have not received their ballot or official voter information guide by Feb. 3 are encouraged to contact our the ROV as soon as possible to get a replacement mailed to them.  Voters can e-mail [email protected] or call (707) 784-6675 to make the request.

In addition to mailing materials, the ROV website makes it easy for Solano County residents to download materials electronically, get ballots in an accessible format, request additional materials or update their voter registration information.

Visit www.SolanoCounty.com/Elections and:

-- Click “Sample Ballot/Poll Place Lookup” to get a voter guide or map to polling locations
-- Click “Accessible Vote by Mail Ballot” to download an accessible ballot
-- Click “Register to Vote” to complete a five-minute online voter registration application
-- Click “Verify Voter Registration” to make changes to existing voter registrations

Finally, the ROV would like to remind voters of some important upcoming dates related to the March 3 Primary Election cycle, including:

-- February 18, 2020, the last day to register to vote
-- February 25, 2020, the last day the ROV will send ballots to voters who choose to vote by mail

Voters who miss either of these deadlines can still vote in-person at either the ROV office in Fairfield, or at any polling place in the county by completing a registration form to cast a ballot.  A list of all voting locations on Election Day is available on the ROV website:  www.solanocounty.com/elections
