County to display local artist’s paintings – calls for more

March 12, 2018

SOLANO COUNTY – Starting on Monday, March 19, a variety of large and smaller-format paintings by Solano County resident and artist Sonia McNally will be on public display in the main lobby and mezzanine level of the County Administration Center, located at 675 Texas Street in Fairfield.  The display, which features a variety of landscape imagery, will run through Friday, May 11.  The display is open for public viewing between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Ms. McNally, a Vacaville native, attended Solano Community College and UC Berkeley, where she received her B.A. in Art Practice.  Her work is driven by her observation of nature and the environment to create landscapes that recognize moments of naturally occurring patterns in a playful manner.
