County seeks volunteers to fill three historical record commissioner positions

SOLANO COUNTY – The County of Solano is seeking volunteers to fill three Historical Records Commissioner (SCHRC) positions on the five-member panel.

The SCHRC is an advisory commission to the Solano County Board of Supervisors created to assist the Board by providing advice on policies or issues relating to historical records of Solano County.

The term for each position is effective April 27, 2018 through April 26, 2022. Commission meetings are held at least four times per year at County offices in Fairfield.  Additional efforts may be required between scheduled meetings.

The mission of the SCHRC is to advocate for the preservation of the historical records of Solano County government that document the governance, development and social history of the County, and to ensure the permanent retention, protection, and public accessibility of Solano County's documentary heritage.
