Free Community Immunization Clinics April 2012 Total Home & Garden Show Nut Tree Complex, Vacaville Friday, April 20, 11am to 7 pm Saturday, April 21, 10am to 6pm Sunday, April 22, 10am to 5pm We will be offering free vaccinations for seasonal flu and T-dap.  Pneumonia vaccine will also be available for those 65 or older or those with underlying health conditions. Note: For the 2012-2013 school year, and all future school years, all students entering, advancing, or transferring into 7th grade will need proof of an adolescent Pertussis/ whooping cough (T-dap) booster immunization. This new school immunization law affects all students in public and private schools. Pertussis is a very contagious respiratory disease that can be severe and last for months. The immunity received from either early childhood immunization or previous infection wears off over time, leaving older students and adults susceptible again to pertussis. Immunization with T-dap can protect students, schools, and communities against pertussis.
