Lieutenant Gary Faulkner
Public Information Officer

Lieutenant Gary Faulkner began his career with the Solano County Sheriff’s Office in 1994, when he was hired as a deputy sheriff. As a deputy, Gary worked a variety of assignments including Patrol, Court Services, Investigations, and as the department’s Public Information Officer. Gary was then promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2002. As a sergeant, Gary supervised deputies working Patrol, Court Services, Community Policing, Narcotics, and the Coroner’s Office. In 2008, Gary was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and currently serves as the Solano County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer, as well as being the Chief Deputy Coroner for Solano County.    

Gary has always been a strong supporter of the community policing philosophy that has been adopted by the Solano County Sheriff's Office. He has seen first hand, through his own personal experiences, how a well informed, educated public can better protect themselves from crime and improve their quality of life. Gary believes that this is made possible through solid working partnerships between law enforcement, the media, and the public they serve.
