Bob Powell is the Emergency Services Manager for Solano County. He is the Senior Manager in charge of the Office of Emergency Services, otherwise known as OES. He is responsible for coordinating and managing all disasters and major emergency incidents in Solano County. He is the coordinator of the Operational Area Terrorism Working group that consists of representatives from all Law Enforcement, Fire, Emergency Medical providers including all hospitals in Solano County and Travis Air Force Base. He has participated in several on base disaster and terrorism exercises and functions as the Solano County point of contact for Travis. Bob is also in charge of Solano Dispatch, Dive Team and the Solano County Sheriff's Search & Rescue consisting of approximately 65 Reserve Deputies and Volunteers. This group is responsible for all missing persons in Solano County and can be dispatched anywhere in California. Prior to becoming an Emergency Manager, Bob was in the Fire Service for 29 years with the City of Vacaville. He worked his way through the ranks and served his last thirteen years as Fire Chief.
