Behavioral Helpline is a resource when you have a question or concern about the behavior of your pet. Our Helpline message center is available any time. After leaving your message, you can expect a return call, usually within 24 hours, from one of our volunteers, except Sundays and County Holidays.

| ![]() | | MICROCHIP SERVICES | Cats, dogs, and rabbits that are brought into our shelter are scanned for microchips. If a microchip is detected, the owner may be located and reunited with the pet. When compared to traditional pet locating methods, a microchip can reduce or even avoid time-consuming and often unyielding search efforts and costly shelter stays for your pet.
A change in pet ownership information can be updated in the national database too!

To implant and register a microchip: $20.00
To transfer a microchip registration only: Cost depends on the chip manufacturer; please call or come to Animal Care Services for more information. Clinics are held the first Wednesday of the Month from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Payment is requested via cash or check.
Rabies $6.00 each (required for all dogs and cats 4 months of age and older
DA2PP (Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2 Parainfluenza Parvovirus MLV) $10.00 each
Canine Parainfluenza Bordatella (protects against kennel cough) $10.00 each
FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis Calici-panleukopenia virus MLV and killed virus) $10.00 each

MOBILE ADOPTION SITES:
Solano County Animal Care Services' (SCACS) Volunteers present both shelter/foster cats and dogs which are available for adoption* into good homes. By partnering with local pet stores, the following dates, times, and locations are a convenient way for you to adopt a pet!
