| | | General Voting By Mail InformationAny registered voter may vote a Vote by Mail ballot. Voters may cast Vote by Mail ballots in person in the Elections office (address below) during the Vote by Mail voting period which begins twenty-nine days before an election and extends until the close of polls on election day. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is open until 8:00 p.m. on election days.
Most Vote by Mail voters request and cast their ballots by mail. Vote by Mail ballot requests must be received seven days before election day by 5:00 p.m. to receive a ballot by mail. Voters may request a Vote by Mail ballot by any of the following three methods:
Completing the request form from the back of your sample ballot and mailing it back to us.
Send us a letter at the address listed on our Contact page. Your letter must have your name, residence address in Solano County, the address to which the ballot is to be mailed (if different than your residence) and your signature. You may also fax your request to 707-784-6678.
Use the convenient online application. Fill in the requested information and click the Submit button; your request will be sent to us electronically. Note that this application is for individual voters only.
State law prevents us from issuing Vote by Mail ballots based on a request over the phone. This prevents anyone requesting a Vote by Mail ballot in someone else's name. Therefore, you must request a Vote by Mail ballot in writing. We must receive your written request at least seven days before an election.
