DEFINITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
"Additional One-family Dwellings". Permanent residences for persons employed on the premises when such residential use is clearly accessory or incidental to the agricultural use of the property. A two car enclosed garage is required for each unit and minimum development standards for dwelling units [Sec. 28-58(a)] apply.
"Companion Living Unit". A temporary mobilehome subordinate to and detached from the principal residence on the same ownership providing independent living quarters including sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation facilities for one or more adult persons who are 60 years of age or over, handicapped or convalescent. Either the principal residence or companion living unit shall be owner occupied. One parking space is required for each unit.
"Duplex Dwelling". A detached building under one roof designed for, or occupied exclusively by, two families living independently of each other, and separated by a common wall or floor. A two car enclosed garage is required for each unit and minimum development standards for dwelling units [Sec. 28-58(a)] apply.

"Dwelling Groups". A group of two or more detached or semidetached one-family, two-family, or multiple-family dwellings occupying a parcel of land in one ownership, and having any yard or court in common. Two parking spaces are required for each unit (covered or enclosed parking is preferred).

"Farm Labor Quarters". Rooming houses and boardinghouses and mess halls for any number of farm help customarily employed on land owned by the owner of the building site occupied by such houses or halls. Parking requirements [Sec. 28-55] may apply.

"Guest House". Detached living quarters of a permanent type of construction, without kitchens or cooking facilities, clearly subordinate and incidental to the main building on the same building site, and not to be rented, let or leased, whether compensation be direct or indirect. Regulations for guest houses [Sec. 28-50(b)(2)] apply.

"Labor Camp". Any living quarters, dwelling, boarding house, tent, bunkhouse, maintenance-of-way, car, trailer coach, or other housing accommodations maintained in connection with any work or place where work is being performed and the premises upon which they are situated, or the area set aside and provided for camping of five or more employees by a labor contractor. Labor camp shall also mean a labor supply camp. Labor camps in the A district shall be located on a public road and where sanitary facilities are available. Parking requirements [Sec. 28-55] may apply, and architectural approval [Sec. 28-58] is required.
"Manufactured Dwelling". A detached residence intended to be occupied by one family, which is certified under the National Mobile Home Construction and Safety Standard Act and meets minimum County architectural and development standards. A two car enclosed garage is required for each unit and minimum development standards for dwelling units [Sec. 28-58(a)] apply.

"Mobilehome". A vehicle, other than a motor vehicle, designed and equipped to contain one dwelling unit to be used without a permanent foundation and which is in excess of eight feet in width, or in excess of forty feet in length. Does not include a manufactured dwelling.

"Multiple Dwelling". A building, or portion thereof, used or designed as a residence for three or more families living independently of each other and doing their own cooking in such building, including apartment houses and flats. Two parking spaces are required for each unit (covered or enclosed parking is preferred).

"One-family Dwelling". A detached building which meets the building regulations of the County designed for or occupied exclusively by one family. Does not include a tent, mobilehome, or manufactured dwelling. A two car enclosed garage is required and minimum development standards for dwelling units [Sec. 28-58(a)] apply.

"Secondary Living Unit". One additional dwelling unit attached to the principal residence on the same ownership, providing independent living quarters for rent, including sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation facilities except that detached units are permitted in the R-E and R-S Districts provided they are connected to public sewer. Either the principal residence or secondary living unit shall be owner-occupied. One parking space is required (covered or enclosed parking is preferred).

"Servants Quarters". Living accommodations for servants, not including cooking facilities.

"Temporary Mobilehome". Mobilehomes (see definition of "Mobilehome" above) may be permitted for a temporary term corresponding to the circumstances of the particular case. Typical circumstances include short term farm labor/caretaker housing, and temporary housing during construction of a permanent residence.
