Family Planning Information & Education

The goal of this program is to empower teens and young adults to delay sexual activity through knowledge and skill building. Prevention education can help to:

  • Reduce the number of teens and young adults engaging in high-risk behaviors
  • Decrease the incidence of teen pregnancy
  • Decrease sexually transmitted infections among teens and young adults

Who Is Eligible

This program serves teens and young adults (13-19 years) in Solano County.

Services We Provide

  • Comprehensive Sexuality Education in high schools, alternative schools and juvenile hall
  • Classroom presentations on pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infections, teen responsibilities and HIV education
  • Teaching methods include a variety of role-play exercises, group work, lectures and video media
  • Chlamydia/Gonorrhea screening in community settings
