The goal of this program is to empower teens and young adults to delay sexual activity through knowledge and skill building. Prevention education can help to:
Reduce the number of teens and young adults engaging in high-risk behaviors
Decrease the incidence of teen pregnancy
Decrease sexually transmitted infections among teens and young adults
Who Is Eligible
This program serves teens and young adults (13-19 years) in Solano County.
Services We Provide
Comprehensive Sexuality Education in high schools, alternative schools and juvenile hall
Classroom presentations on pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infections, teen responsibilities and HIV education
Teaching methods include a variety of role-play exercises, group work, lectures and video media
Chlamydia/Gonorrhea screening in community settings
