Brian Huynh Travis, Sergeant-Sheriff

Sergeant Brian Huynh Travis joined the Sheriff’s Office in 2006 as a deputy sheriff.  Prior to that Brian worked for the South San Francisco Police Department from 1997 to 2006.  Brian has worked in a variety of assignments in the sheriff’s office including, patrol, Field Training Officer (FTO), court security, detective for the Solano County Family Violence Intervention Team, and as a general crimes detective.  Brian has been assigned as sergeant to the Solano County Office of Emergency Services since December 2010.

Sgt. Travis is also currently serving in the U.S. Army Reserves.  He is a captain and works as an intelligence analyst in the Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) for Pacific Command (PACOM.)  He is a veteran of the Bosnian conflict and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Sgt. Travis has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the Union Institute and University.
