September 1, 2011

The update process for the Nut Tree Airport Master Plan was placed on hold by Solano County during the first part of 2011.  The update process is now underway again and airport alternatives will be presented to airport and community groups starting in September, 2011.

The Master Plan for Nut Tree Airport is anticipated to identify the capital improvements for the Airport that are deemed necessary over the next 20 years and should reflect a partial vision for Nut Tree Airport. The Airport Master Plan is the first master planning effort to be undertaken for the Airport since 1993, and will lay the groundwork for further environmental analysis and enable the Nut Tree Airport to obtain funding for the improvements that are identified in the Master Plan.  The update of the Nut Tree Airport Master Plan is being conducted by Solano County, the owner and operator of the Airport.  The Master Plan Update is funded 95% through a grant by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Three public information meetings and workshops were held during 2010.  Three Working Papers were generated during this period.  Working Paper Three provided airport development concepts and alternatives analysis.  Working Papers One, Two and Three can be found by clicking on their respective links below.
