Yoga Hike at Lynch Canyon
Departments - Resource Management - Parks
Location: Lynch Canyon Open Space
3100 Lynch Rd, American Canyon, CA, 94534

Guided by her love of the outdoors and passion for yoga, Barbara Fredricks of Benicia Yoga and Wellness is offering a yoga hike at Lynch Canyon that is free and open to everyone.

COST:

  • The yoga hike is free!
  • Parking is $6 (cash or check), or an annual parking pass can be purchased; call 707-784-6765 for details. All proceeds help Solano County Parks keep this land open and safe.

WHAT TO BE PREPARED FOR: (1) The pace will be moderate and the yoga practice suitable to all. No experience necessary. (2) Expect rough, rocky, uneven ground. (3) This is a working ranch where free-range cattle roam as they please. (4) There is no drinking water. (5) There is one outhouse, located in the parking lot. (6) In order to protect wildlife, cattle, and rare plants—and for your pet's safety—dogs are not allowed. (7) Take only pictures, leave only footprints. (8) Maintain a safe distance from cattle and wildlife, and be aware that this is tick, mountain lion, poison oak, and potentially rattlesnake country.

WHAT TO BRING: Parking fee. Wear comfortable clothes, sneakers or boots, and bring a pack for your own water bottle. No mat or other yoga equipment necessary.

MEETING PLACE: Meet in the parking lot.

WEATHER PLAN: Rain cancels. Call Sue at 707-590-0307 if the weather is uncertain.

REGISTRATION: None. Just show up!
